We believe in prayer.
One of our prayer efforts is a group of people that commit themselves to spend time alone in prayer within the Church building during the week day period. This continual chain of saints knocking on the Lord’s door from the prayer closet brings great help to our Church family as well as adding great strength to those individuals.
Prayer Meeting
Beginning in 2011 we will be having a prayer meeting each Thursday 11:15 –11:45 a.m.
Wednesday Evening Youth, Grades 7-12
The Wednesday night class for grades 7 through 12 is a combination of Bible study and an open and fun atmosphere in which to learn more about Gods Word. How it affects and should control our daily lives. All material is slowly broken down for all to understand and appreciate. Many activities are planned in an effort to grow closer to God and each other.
Puppet Ministry
Each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. our puppet family, “The Christians” greet all our children prior to going to Sunday School classes. Their father Gabriel, mom Samantha, son Adam, daughter Sara, and their two dogs, Ranger and Samuel always have something interesting to say. Mr. Groundhog visits on occasion as well. The Christian family shares with the children stories from the Bible. They enjoy singing songs and performing skits and just have a good time with everyone that will join them.
Library
Everyone is encouraged to register and take advantage of the Church Library filled with a wealth of resources to study God’s Word, read books authored by well-known men and women of God such as Billy and Ruth Graham, Charles Stanley, just to mention a few, as well as other books of interest, DVDs, etc. Sis. Amber Page is our librarian and will be glad to help you utilize the resources this ministry provides.
Outreach Efforts
We use many different efforts in reaching out to the lost and wayward. This is strongly encouraged to all that attend worship at Gethsemane.
Visitation is a regular activity for several of our men. If you have anyone you wish to be contacted, forward us the necessary information and they will be placed on our schedule.
Missions
We practice not only getting the gospel to our Jerusalem, but are active in trying to help spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus to all corners of the world.
