What are the Beacons?
Beacons consist of ladies within Gethsemane Baptist Church who are involved in planning and conducting various activities at the church. The Beacons are always in search of new people to join, age doesn’t matter. Beacons organize church dinners, Easter egg hunts, Vacation Bible School, and other special events. Beacons also do fundraisers to purchase items for the church and give to missions each month.
Beacons need as many ladies as possible to make God’s work a success. Ladies who attend usually leave knowing each other a little better and many good friendships have been started at Gethsemane Baptist Church as ladies have worked together on planning special activities. God has blessed Gethsemane Baptist Church with this wonderful ladies group. Every time Beacons meet together, God uses what the ladies share to encourage the hearts, minds, and emotions of those who come. Beacons usually hold meetings once a month and hope you will make plans to join.
You will find your niche, whether it be a large or small part.
